We have been working on problems related to visual analysis of human actions for
nearly a decade. In this talk I will first provide an overview of our research
in this area, and then present in detail the design of a system called
M2Tracker, which uses multiperspective video to detect and track multiple
people. The system employs a set of cameras configured as a set of wide
baseline stereo pairs to detect new people entering the scene, build appearance
models for those people, and track them in 3D under conditions of severe
occlusion.
