The project aims to introduce, over the next three years, new materials resistant to the main grapevine diseases and recent climate changes into regional winemaking practices, serving as a guiding example for the entire country. This will implement new vineyard management practices from the time of planting. Furthermore, using digital tools such as sensors, robots, and digital twins, it will provide useful support for reducing human impact while simultaneously enhancing product quality. This project aims to give substance to the term "sustainability" through reduced use of agricultural machinery (reducing diesel fuel and soil compaction), pesticides, fertilizers, and additives (saving on consumption and environmental impact), and water (savings and environmental respect), increasing biodiversity and the environmental, microbiological, and product health.

Professor Davide Quaglia is responsible for creating the vineyard's digital twin.
