The project aims at providing support for the acquisition, management and analysis of data in the context of "smart-land" applications.
The idea of "smart-land" applications is to use innovative information technologies and artificial intelligence methods to provide services to residents and tourists in urban and extra-urban areas. The project focuses on the following main lines of intervention: 1) data acquisition regarding the water quality of the Lake Garda basin using intelligent aquatic drones; 2) acquisition of different types of environmental data from sources available on the Internet (e.g. relating to water, air, vehicle flow, lighting, weather conditions, etc.); 3) data acquisition (static and real time) from different sources: datasets provided by municipalities and bodies involved in the project, available and relevant open data, sensors placed in the environment; 4) publication and consolidation in a business intelligence platform; 5) analysis using machine learning techniques in order to provide indications on the anthropic impact in the Lake Garda basin before, during and after the main tourist season.
