Curriculum

Alberto Belussi si occupa di:

  • Dati geografici con componente spaziale
  • progettazione concettuale di basi di dati spaziali, in particolare ha contribuito alla definzione del modello GeoUML che è stato adottato come standard italiano per la specifica di contenuto dei database geotopografici gestiti dalle Regioni italiane
  • applicazioni basate su dati geografici, recentemente ha seguito progetti di ricerca applicata per la gestione di dati archeologici (anche in collaborazione con la Soprintendenza Speciale per il Colosseo e l’Area archeologica centrale di Roma) e con il Comune di Verona per le informazioni turistiche sulla città
  • ottimizzazione di interrogazioni spaziali anche in constesto Spatial Big Data (Spatial Hadoop)
  • infrastrutture per i dati geografici, recentemente in collaborazione con il Politecnico di Milano ha contribuito alla progettazione di strumenti per l'interoperabilità nell'ambito della direttiva europea INSPIRE

Le sue pubblicazioni si collocano prevalentemente sulle riviste internazionali dell'area di sistemi informativi ed in particolare nel settore GIS (GeoInformatica, ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems, Transactions in GIS, Information and Software Technology e altre).
Le conferenze internazionali frequentate sono: ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems, AGILE Conference on Geo-information Science, International Conference on Spatial Information Theory.

In cooperation with Politecnico di Milano and with CISIS (Centro Interregionale per i Sistemi Informatici, geografici e Statistici) a new conceptual data model has been defined and used as Italian standard for the conceptual schema of the National Core database.
