The course deals with the most relevant issues related to the fundamental concepts of the discipline in general and, in particular, of the algorithms, programming, languages and problem solving. The intent is to think over the basic aspects related to programming, and informatics in general in order to critically discuss the choices and teaching methods.
The fundamental and historical aspects will be examined and moreover educational and methodological questions.
The course consists of three parts.
Part A (Fundamentals). Review and critical analysis of the basics, the historical aspects; relations with other disciplines.
Part B (Didactics). Aspects of the teaching of programming, algorithms and languages.
Part C (complements). Special methods for learning programming.
