The STRING project aims at improving the performance, increasing safety and decreasing the cost for an
important medical imaging technique: Positron Emission Tomography (PET). For that an innovative ceramic
thin film with radically new properties will be developed combining new materials with a thin film ceramic
conversion layer and interference filters.
