The Computer Science Department’s ECDL Test Centre offers services for the major European computer certificates recognised by
AICA.
These certifications, representing internationally-recognised standards, provide students with a stronger CV when applying for their first job. In many cases, educational credits (CFU) can also be gained towards the student’s own programme of study (contact the relevant teaching administration for more information).
The
certification exams are open to the
public of all ages at any education level and may also be taken following self-study with books and/or specific online classes (contact the Test Center for further information).
The computer science courses that are offered within some university programmes, even if they are oriented towards preparation for the ECDL, are completely independent from the exam and are therefore not recognised as an alternative or equivalent of the
professional certification exam that
must be taken at an AICA accredited Test Center.
