The objective of the proposed Q3-Premium project is the development of an integrated IIoT experimental platform applied to the context of product quality control and analysis in the metal industry. The developed platform can potentially be extended to any type of manufacturing production where the production cycle consists of several conversion steps in sequence.
The platform will be able to collect and integrate large amounts of data from different sources and provide tools for statistical analysis and Machine Learning to identify anomalies relevant to quality such as correlations between raw materials, process management and product compliance with the required specifications.
The innovation aims to overcome the current limitations particularly evident in the steel industry: a large amount of data is collected but there is a lack of adequate infrastructure and architecture. They allow the extraction of knowledge about production processes and the application to correct and optimize them in real time.
