Privacy Issues in the Age of GDPR

As the number of data breaches continues to increase and the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is going into affect, data protection and compliance is a top priority on companies’ security agenda. During this talk, I will present on-going research on data protection in cloud computing and privacy risk assessment and relate it to the main challenges introduced by the GDPR. To conclude, I will present some recent research ideas to address data privacy concerns in the Internet of Things.
