In this talk we give an introduction to Fast Marching Methods. They are numerical schemes useful to solve Eikonal equations and, more in general, Static Hamilton-Jacobi equations based on upwind schemes and fast sorting techniques. These methods are also consistent and accurate, in the sense that the computational complexity is O(N log N ), where N is the total number of points in the discretization of the domain.
