I will introduce the fundamentals of stable infinity category theory to pave the way to the definition of a t-structure in such a setting. The classical theory of [BBD] can be put in a conceptual frame where the universality of constructions gives several enlightening insights about its real categorical nature.
I will investigate the construction of "recollements" and gluing of t-structures in stable infinity-categories, recovering the classical intuition, the geometric examples of [BBD], as well as several new results which are only valid in a infinity-categorical setting.
