Dear students of Research Modelling Seminar,
in what follows I have reported some additional informations about the 'Examination mode' for RMS.
In order to obtain the 6 credits and the final mark, there are two mandatory requests [**] and an optional (but strongly advised) one [*]:
[**] Complete the assignments of the course ''Consensus, network & control in self-organizing systems'', and summurize the results in a short document (~ 8-10 pages).
[**] Study an additional topic, and deliver a short presentation with blackboard/slides (20 min).
For a list of possible topics you can choose among the other ECMI modelling courses (Moodle:http://moodle.lut.fi/course/view.php?id=5989), propose one by yourself, or ask me for an additional one.
In any case I reccommend to send me an e-mail with your topic.
For the presentation we will try to group multiple talks in a single day, to be fixed togehter.
[*] In the next months there will be a series of seminars, about different topics of Applied Mathematics, delivered by invited research scientists.
The confirmed participation to these seminars gives an additional bonus to the final grade.
Save the date: The first of these seminars will take place next week, Thursday 21st December, 14:30-15:30 in Sala Riunioni 2nd floor, Ca' Vignal 2, with title:
''Kinetic and Hyperbolic Equations with Applications to Engineering Processes'' by A. Häck (RTWH Aachen).
More detailed informations will follow shortly.
Let me know if you have further questions,
