Continuous Optimization [2 ECTS]

Speaker:  Prof. Michael Herty - RTWH Aachen, Germany
  Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10:30 AM
The mini-course will deal with numerical methods for continuous optimization problems.
In the first part of this mini-course we will review and implement different numerical
optimization methods for unconstrained and constrained problems.
Second we will focus on optimal control problems of Differential problems,
with particular attention to applications of transport problems:
supply chains, traffic, kinetic equations, and conservation laws.

Schedule:

Tue 02/04: 08:30-10:30 Aula L.
Wed 03/04: 13:30-15:30 Aula F.
Wed 10/04: 13:30-15:30 Aula F.
Mon 15/04: 10:30-12:30 Aula H.
Tue 16/04: 08:30-10:30 Lab Gamma.

N.B.
Note that the mini-course will be integrated within the Advanced Numerical Analysis II (ANA II) course.
People willing to participate but not attending ANA II are more than welcomed writes to (giacomo.albi@univr.it), the mini-course is self-contained.
