Speaker:  Viktor Bezborodov - Wroclaw University of Science and Technology
  Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 3:15 PM

Lecturer: Viktor Bezborodov (Wroclaw University of Science and Technology)

-          Period: March 2021 (starting from 23/03/2021) : two lessons will be provided live (via Zoom-online) [Tuesday 23 and 30 of March] , other two lessons will be recordered on Friday 26/3 and 2/4

-          Venue: on-line - 2CFU (12 hours)

-          Examiners: Luca Di Persio (University of Verona)

-          Assessment method: Project presentation exploiting material discussed during the course. Further topics, linked to the course contents, could be also considered

-          Contents: In  this course we consider various stochastic growth models and discuss their applications in sciences. We touch on the basics of percolation theory and interacting particles systems. We also discuss the bread-and-butter procedures in numerical simulation of the growth model. Among applications, we discuss the choices to be made in simulation of a growing tumor.

Interested students are asked to contact the course referent (Luca Di Persio) for Zoom details as well as for any questions/comments.
