The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), devices connected to the Internet and exchanging large amounts of data in real time, have become increasingly important, facilitating the control and monitoring of the production phases of a plant. At the same time, Building Automation is becoming an increasingly pushed IoT use sector. Finally, we can mention the uses of IoT for Health Care, particularly if the sensors become wearable. In all these contexts it is useful to have a data analysis through AI algorithms that provides added value to the creation of a complete IoT architecture from sensors to the cloud. The aim of the research contract is therefore to extend the BOX-IO architecture with AI techniques and with the integration of low energy consumption devices.
