Master's degree in Medical Bioinformatics



This Master’s degree programme is ‘open’ in the sense that no entrance examinations are required, but in order to be admitted you will need to meet specific subject requirements and demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills. More specifically, to be considered for admission you must hold:
  • a three-year university degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science or related, and Bioinformatics or in any area requiring a strong basic training in Computer Science. Applicants who have not already graduated may apply as long as they earn their degree by 30 July 2019.
English language qualifications are not required. However, you are expected to have a minimum B1 level (CEFR) of English.

Subject requirements

A further assessment of the applicants’ skills and competences will be carried out in the following cases:
  • graduates in the degree classes in point 1) who have obtained a final grade of less than 88/110;
  • applicants who have graduated in the above classes more than 10 years prior to their application;
  • graduates from other classes who meet the above entry requirements.
The assessment consists in the analysis of the applicant’s academic curriculum (exams taken and relevant marks), possibly followed by an interview.
