Synopsis and programme of the course
This is an introductory course to partial differential equation (PDE) models of spatial and evolutionary dynamics in biological systems. The course is divided into two related parts as follows:

Part 1: PDE models of spatial dynamics

1.1 Models of invasion   24/10  15.30-18.30 aula F
1.2 Models of chemotaxis 25/10   10.30- 13.30 Lab Ciberfisico
1.3 Models of pattern formation   26/10     either 9.00-11.30 aula F or 15.30-17.30 aula L

Part 2: PDE models of evolutionary dynamics (lecturer; L. Almeida)

2.1 Models of Darwinian evolution                 28/11         14.30-16.30       aula M
2.2 Models of cancer adaptive dynamics I     29/11         11.30-13.30       Lab Ciberfisico
2.3 Models of cancer adaptive dynamics II    30/11         12.30-14.30      aula B
