In this work we will see how to model, by a system of two PDEs, the process of epidermal wound healing for adult skin. This model has been solved numerically in the general formulation.
Moreover, with some strong but still biologically coherent assumptions, an analytical solution can be found.
Then we will see briefly the difficulties in the creation of a model for the embryonic skin.
