Learning outcomes

Fundamental concepts of mathematical analysis: derivatives, continuity, limits, integration, series. The aim is to provide a better consciousness of the analytic methods in view of the main applications of analysis.

At the end of the course, the students will be able to apply mathematical analysis techniques to the solution of problems about functions, integrals and series.

Knowledge and understanding: students will be able to apply mathematical analysis techniques to solution of problems.

Applying knowledge and understanding: students will be able to apply functions, derivatives, integrals and series to different situations.

Making judgements: the students will be able to choose among the various techniques the one better suited to the problem at hand.

Communication skills: the students will be able to describe the solution of a problem employing correct terminology.

Learning skills: the students will be able to widen their knowledge starting from what they learned.
