Smartness increase in consumer electronics is a daily experience of everyone: smart phones, smart TVs, smart watches are some common examples of today smart objects that simplify (or make more complex) our life. Behind any smart object there is a smart dedicated electronic system, that is, a smart embedded system. The aim of this project is to boost the adoption of smart displays in the industrial sector, that is, to make the necessary research activities to transform industrial displays into Industrial Smart Displays (ISD)s. The proposed research activities are devoted to acceleration of graphical applications and their verification and secure integration into a cloud infrastructure. The solutions of such problems will be an important step in the adoption of smart displays by the industrial sector.
