The project goal si to create a monitoring and control system based on wireless sensors / actuators in order to support disabled persons and elderly as follows:
- monitor energy consumption to reduce costs and thus improve the quality of the environment;
- detect faults (water, electric, gas leaks);
- detect risks and hazards (falls, fire, intrusion) which can also be caused accidentally by the same person.
- activate a remote health service.
The design solution is part of the Smart Cities and Smart Communities theme, and aims to improve the quality of life of citizens, who can stay longer, independently and safely in their own homes.
